The Leatherman Kick features plastic set into the body of the tool to make it quite a bit more comfortable to carry than the previous PST and PST II models. Overall, the Kick is a decent tool, but it does have it's drawbacks. Due to it's low weight, the Kick feels flimsy. As it is supported by Leatherman's 25 year guarantee, it is very well made, however compared to several other tools both greater in size and smaller in size, it doesn't seem to be quite as tough. It also might seem a little small to those with big hands.
Most importantly, even with the lack of numerous tools on the product, it does suffer from Leatherman's infamous curse, tool clumping. Why is it that a handle with just 3 tools in it, all pull out in the case that you try to get only one? With revised designs of pocket tools, this issue should be a forgotten memory.
The Leatherman Kick is a decent tool at a good price, but not an option for a regular user or a bigger person. I would say it is better suited as a small tool for a lady's handbag or as a child's first tool. It could be referred to as a "cute" tool for people that occasionally need tools and like to be prepared.
